IT’S A GRAND LIFE was performed in November 2010 at the Grand Theatre, Lancaster. It is the story of a landmark architectural gem. It chronicles the life of a
building – The Grand Theatre - from 1782 to the present day, through the eyes of the Stage Manager and his daughter. The production, written and directed
by Ginny Scott, brings together Footlights, Lancaster Choral Society, LADOS and Red Rose, in a kaleidoscope of entertainment. 
The play shows the life of a building and its inhabitants over 228 years, through the ups and downs of wars, fire, threatened demolition, laughter and tears, to the present day.
